The world around us, of course, seems three-dimensional: the space and the objects inside it have length, height and width. We perceive it sensually: we have two eyes and two ears, which produce two-dimensional nerve signals, allowing the brain to interpret the perceived information and recreate a three-dimensional picture of the world in consciousness. But why are we so sure that there are only three spatial dimensions? Who said that what we perceive is the real world, and not the shadow theatre — the projection of something more complex, something that surpasses our usual possibilities of perception? From a mathematical point of view, there is no problem to add more dimensions. How then can we understand four-dimensional objects, if they exist? And how can they be projected into our three-dimensional reality? And if there is a fourth dimension, what prevents the existence of the fifth? Is there a limit? "
